With all the worries and stresses we suffer, especially during the last year of lockdown life, it’s important that we do all we can do to keep ourselves happy and healthy.
There are many ways we can help ourselves during these times, but the most basic and beneficial skill we can learn is to breathe correctly. There are many different breathing techniques, all of which can have a dramatic impact on our health and well-being.
We are very excited to announce our new morning live-stream show called ‘Breathing for Life’.
Each weekday morning for the month of February we will live-stream the show at 9am. During the show we will chat with instructors of various breathing techniques from around Ireland.
We will learn about the importance of breath work and how it can improve our health. In the second part of the show our instructors will provide daily demonstrations in which you can participate privately from the comfort of your home.
Access to this show is completely free but in order to view the demonstrations on the livestream you must register with your email address below. After your registration we will invite you to our private Facebook group where you can connect with the instructors and other participants.

Meet the instructors
Patrick McKeown is a foremost authority in the field of breathing. He was educated at Trinity College Dublin, completing his clinical training in Russia. In 2002, he was accredited as a breathing coach by renowned physician Dr. Konstantin Buteyko.
Since 2002, Patrick has helped tens of thousands of people worldwide. His work focuses on breathing pattern disorders, sleep disordered breathing and anxiety. He has trained elite military Special Forces, SWAT, Olympic coaches and athletes. He is breathing advisor to the Extreme Performance Training XPT program – created by American big-wave surfer, Laird Hamilton – and has taught more than 700 breathing instructors across 45 countries.
Breathwork has kept Renaud Cmela healthy in the past year and until now and he hasn’t taken any antibiotics since 2017, when he started breathwork. He now wants to help others discover the power of breathing, being happier in life and healthier.
Renaud focuses on breathwork to address anxiety, stress release, improving both alertness and sleep and preparation before sports, oxygenating the body, creating a performance boost and delay lactate acid.
Maria Connolly discovered the Wim Hof Method in 2015. The ability to control your immune system at will, fascinated her. She had always suffered from autoimmune conditions such as psoriasis, arthritis and mild ulcerative colitis. The Wim Hof Method gave her the insights and energy to change her diet and lifestyle which enabled her to get on top of what she needed to do. It allowed her to go deep within and discover healing is all under her control, a choice and it empowered her to change everything! All you need is already inside.
John McKeown watched the Vice documentary on Wim Hof in 2015 and was fascinated. He signed up for the 10 week online course and was hooked. The following year he visited Wim’s home in Stroe for a weeks advanced training. In 2017 he traveled to Poland training with Wim, Kasper, and Bart and to become a certified instructor. Since then he has been lucky enough to teach the method throughout Ireland.
In 2020 he started training to become a Qi Gong Instructor. He loves the combination of movement, mind and breath work.
Working in higher education provided a devastating insight into just how prevalent mental health issues are. Brian Morrison has seen and dealt with an increasing number of young people who feel desperate, confused, anxious and with few places to turn. This left him feeling helpless, as he lacked the knowledge on how to help these people with their pain and suffering.
During the virtual retreat Brian will discuss his experience using release breathwork to manage anxiety, stress and help heal past trauma.
Conor Kelly has been helping people with Acupuncture & other Chinese Medicine principles for over 10 years, he also has deep understanding into body based therapies and practices like Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy which help people of all ages be meet and held in a very safe supportive form of Bodywork. Conor also studies and practices Somatic meditation a form of Tibetian Yoga focused on meditation.
As a Soma Breath instructor Conor will introduce the practice this Thursday.
Soma Breathwork induces Heart coherence and ecstatic states in the mind and body through ancient pranayama breath work techniques coupled with specific music to alter your brainwaves.

Suzie is an actor and presenter with an interest in Kundalini Yoga, healthy living and alternative health. Suzie completed a degree in Business and Law in UCD and pursued a career as a solicitor before realising she was more suited to a career in the arts. She had appeared in numerous short films, commercials and theatre productions and has a strong interest in comedy.
