In 2014 she and Kent Heckenlively co-authored the book Plague.

Finbar has also spent ten years as an activist with his activism focused mainly against economic evictions by financial institutions Finbar is also Primary Carer for his 86 year old mother with a number of underlying conditions that make her susceptible to COVID19.
